In the hills, the hybrid fuchsia grows quietly, its flowers hanging low like little lamps among deep green leaves. Pink and purple petals sway with the breeze, catching drops of rain and bits of sunlight through the day.

The flower grows on its own terms. It leans with the wind, opens when it’s ready, and brings colour to places that might otherwise go unnoticed.
